Their experienced team of engineers develop and implement automated motion processes for the paper-converting, veneer processing, large-scale CNC machining, glass container manufacturing, and engineered wood products industries.

Summary of role:

While working in a team environment you will design, and develop automated industrial equipment for multiple industries utilizing a variety of technologies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design drive systems including hardware integration and programming using off the shelf industrial automation hardware and drives.
  • Work with Electrical Engineers to develop multi-sheet schematic packages using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers to optimize system performance and machine process state sequencing to provide intuitive machine controls.
  • Provide training to users in the operation and diagnostics of the systems you developed

*Travel is approximately 15-25% of the year – depending on project mix and location.

Desired qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of design & development experience in industrial machinery applications.
  • Experience with motion controls, robotics, vision systems, PLCs, HMI, Drives
  • Experience with a variety of PLCs with a strong preference to those with a combination of Siemens and Allen-Bradley.
