  • BS degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or civil preferred)
  • Must be able to travel to job sites within CLIENT service territory as needed
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work five 8-hour days Monday through Friday at CLIENT’s Main office
  • Must have ability to work within the United States without CLIENT sponsorship
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing electric utility substations
  • Must have working knowledge of National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, communications and technical skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with standard desktop PC applications
  • Knowledge and ability to apply Company safety and industrial hygiene policies.  Awareness of safety rules and environmental hazards, and ability to take appropriate action to ensure safety to personnel, the public, and environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, to prioritize and organize work effectively, and adjust to changing priorities and workload in a timely, thorough manner
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to achieve confined space certification and ascend/descend on ladders to enter manholes and vaults


  • 10 years’ experience in substation design
  • 3 years’ experience in project management
