Job Summary


 


We are looking for a growth-oriented sales professional to join the Strategic (National) Sales-B2B team in a hunter role. This Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for the prospecting, sales process, and closing of new contracts and up selling a client base of business in the Mid-West and Eastern states.


 


Responsibilities


 



  • Responsible for developing long-term partnerships with these current customers and selling additional services to the existing account base.
  • Responsible for developing relationships with key personnel in the distribution, finance, account and customer service areas for each customer in their territory.
  • Serves as the face of company to the customer – responsible for positioning company’s service capabilities to customers in the account base, qualifying and proposing new services, negotiating rate increases and insuring that accounts are properly set up internally.
  • Applies a complete knowledge of all the organization’s products/services and policies to close sales
  • Responsible for securing and renewing orders, arranging service dates and other incidentals to actual selling
  • Keeps records and makes reports on all phases of activities
  • Manage and develop relationships with customers as well as resolving service failures, operational changes, and other client requirements
  • Preparation and implementation of special services as required by customer (i.e.: service performance surveys, special customer communication, etc.)
  • Carry out other duties as appropriate and as assigned by his/her Manager
  • Travel 50% of time

 


Experience:


 



  • 7+ years of commercial sales experience, specifically focusing on the Retail / EComm verticals
  • Must have logistics/supply chain provider sales experience (preferably Integrator)
  • Experience closing several $1 mil+ size accounts


  • Proven record of expanding sales region and successful account management skills
  • Track record of meeting and/or exceeding professional or personal goals
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
