Sr. Software Engineer
Client is a publicly-traded technology company located in Melville, NY (will be moving to Mid Town NYC within 12 months) with over 20 year of experience developing software and mobile solutions for the law enforcement, banking and retail markets. Their identification authentication and validation technologies make it possible for customers to reduce fraud, increase safety and security, increase efficiency and improve customer service.


Currently seeking a dynamic, high-energy and experienced Sr. Software Engineer with Team lead experience. The Sr. Software Engineer will participate in the execution of  technological road map and will be responsible for Product Development.  This position involves close collaboration with fellow members of software development team and business development unit.

 

Note: You can work remote with one overnight (poss 2) in Melville weekly, when they move into NYC more office time will be necessary.
Responsibilities:


  • Development of program design and implementation
  • Overseeing testing efforts
  • Leading Programmers/ Team lead
  • This position requires excellent planning, time management and organizational skills.

 
Qualifications:


  • B.S. in Computer Science (minimum), M.S. preferred
  • 7 - 10 Years of Experience in Software Development
  • Operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Linux, Android, iOS.
  • Languages: Microsoft .NET, .NET Compact Framework, C, C++, Java, Objective C
  • Cloud development: Web services, Web sites.
  • Database design
  • Software Design, Algorithm Design, Debugging and Testing
  • Software Design Documentation
  • Software Performance Tuning
  • Software Maintenance
  • Software Installers / Installation
  • Proven software development/project leadership abilities
  • Product Test Planning
  • Candidate must be strongly detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Candidate must work well with others in a supportive team environment.
  • Candidate must be able to pass background check and drug screening
