Our client, a leader in the manufacture of private branded automotive parts, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager (KAM) to join their US sales team.   This position is open because of their tremendous growth.  The opportunity for financial success AND job security is extremely high with this leader in the industry. The successful candidate will have a 2-5 year track record of success in previous sales or account management roles. 

The primary responsibility a is to interact with customers and prospects to build business relationships and maximize sales opportunities.  The Account Manager will make regular contact with customers and prospects to identify their needs and requirements and subsequently help drive opportunity development and subsequently revenue.  In addition, the account manager will keep track of monthly order volumes, compare progress to goal, and routinely report on plans to meet monthly sales goals.

Their specific position duties will be to . . . 
1)    Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients and position company as a capable solutions provider
2)    Continuously propose solutions that help customers meet their objectives
3)    Lead customer specific sales projects across the organization
4)    Establish and manage a pipeline of potential new business with assigned accounts
5)    Provide prospects and customers with corporate marketing materials to support company’s value proposition
6)    Monitor customer performance comparing forecasted sales vs. actual vs. goal for assigned customers.
7)    Help diffuse problem situations with customers. Coordinate the resolution of customer complaints and claims with the appropriate staff.
8)    Monitor overall performance to its customers including fill rate, on time delivery and quality of product.

Background Requirements are . . .
A qualified candidate should have proven experience as an account manager, strong communication skills, and a proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.  Qualified candidates should also have experience in providing solutions based on customer needs and the ability to problem solve and negotiate creatively.  Excellent organizational skills and a solid business background are a must.  BA/BSc in business administration is preferred but not necessary.
