Client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of lighting controls, shading solutions and energy management systems for high end residential and commercial building applications. The company is a mid-sized U.S. multinational that is profitable, growing quickly and has a worldwide reputation for state of the art technology, quality and customer service. This opportunity is open due to growth and will report to the Mexico Country Manager with a dotted line to the VP of Hospitality Sales in the U.S. The Hotel Sales Champion will be home officed in the Greater Mexico City area and be responsible for developing relationships with Hotels, Resorts, Casinos, Architects, Lighting Designers, Engineering Firms, Integrators, Real Estate Developers, Project Owners and other consultants in the hospitality industry throughout Mexico to have them specify, buy and install the companies products into their new hotel construction or remodeling projects. Once Mexico is adequately covered the position will expand to include the rest of Latin America.

Candidates must have the following background and experience to be considered.
* University Degree from top school with strong academic achievement (technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred).
* Bilingual Spanish/English. Portuguese would be a plus.
* Minimum 8 years of experience selling building automation products (lighting, shading, audio/video, security, HVAC, energy management systems, etc.) to hotels, resorts, casinos, architects, lighting designers, integrators, engineering firms and other specifiers in Mexico.
* Knowledge of commercial specification/construction process and proven success generating one name specifications.
* Technical aptitude and ability to master complex lighting and shading control systems and building energy management systems.
* Strong leadership and negotiation skills. Must be stable and promotable.
* Willingness to travel as required (up to 50%).
* Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, Sales Force (or other CRM software).
* Confident, creative, passionate, flexible, ethical "take charge" individual with excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

Sales professionals specifying building automation products for hotels with Phillips, Siemens, ABB, Rockwell, Honeywell, Schneider, GE, Thomas & Betts, Square D, Cooper, Legrand, Leviton, Crestron, Control 4, AMX, Hunter Douglas, MECCO, Color Kinetics, SOMFY could be excellent backgrounds for this position.
