In this important role, you will partner with the Business Teams in delivering the financial objectives for the Milan Manufacturing facility. You will provide understanding on performance and expectations to the Operations team and Corporate. You will provide support in pursuing future commercial  opportunities. As such, you will need to be a hands-on controller who is willing to roll up your sleeves and contribute to the success of the new venture, especially during the transition period.

Additionally, you will: 
  • Ensure compliance with a variety of tax reporting requirements, government reports, debt covenants, and accounting standards 
  • Ensure that Internal Controls are established and adhered to.
  • Carry out reporting activities, including preparing monthly financial statements.
  • Ensure the 18 month rolling forecast is completed accurately and timely with analysis on month on month movements.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and inventory changes and balances 
  • Ensure process/systems are established for accurate and timely month end reporting
  • Mentoring and development of operational managers on financial requirements and reporting
  • Review Feedback from Internal/External Customers
Key Tasks:
  • Act as a trusted business partner to provide effective and accurate financial information in a timely manner to the Operations Team
  • Work closely as a Business Partner to the Milan Operations Manager
  • Support as needed the Program management, Engineering and Commercial teams
  • Review Financial Business processes to ensure alignment between operations and financial strategy
  • Advise and coordinate review of business processes to identify areas to reduce waste and cost
  • Educate and effectively communicate Financial results, processes to operations staff
  • Monitor Cost Reduction Improvement Plan and ensure improvements are logged and followed through
  • Provide support to Material Planning & Logistics Manager during stock take to coordinate the process and analyse the variances, trends in the end data
  • Assist in the completion of special projects and with ad hoc reporting requests
  • Responsibility for preparing, performing, and communicating variance analysis for the Milan, TN location
  • Monitoring and adjustment of 18 month rolling forecast to reflect the future business position whilst ensuring accuracy of inputs, timely completion, analysis of results and communicating the overall outcome to the stakeholders on a monthly basis for the Milan, TN location
  • Management of annual budget process
  • Identifying and implementing Continuous improvement Initiatives of the Financial/forecasting process
  • Support the CapEx process for the Milan operations
  • Ensure Operations adhere to internal standards, Internal control systems and procedures (i.e., delegated authorities, policies and procedures)
  • Ensure the business meets the external audit criteria
  • Responsible for internal controls for all functions and departments
  • Ensure the Business Unit adhere to external standards and procedures (i.e., audit, GAAP, international standards)
  • BS Degree in finance / accounting or relevant discipline
  • MBA / MS in finance / accounting preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing company
  • Preferred: Experience in a Multi Shift Manufacturing or freight & logistics environment
Skills & Knowledge
  • Ability to prepare and manage forecasts (manufacturing environment is preferred)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, sum if and various other functions.
  • Intermediate MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access and Outlook skills
  • Preferred – proven experience in Hyperion
  • Ability to interpret and complete Balance Scorecard System
