Well established and a leading international company has an opportunity in the beautiful upstate of SC for a Controls Engineer – Automation related at their manufacturing and distribution facility of around 700 people which is commute distance of the Greenville metropolitan area.  In this role will design, build and program the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components or systems.  Will be responsible for programming drives and robots.  Troubleshooting and repairing equipment will be a responsibility.  MES systems will be designed, installed and maintained.  Quotations will be developed for new machinery for capital budget projects.  Capital projects will be managed from inceptions to final turnover to production.  A safe workplace will be promoted by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner.   These are some of the responsibilities associated with this role.  The environment includes Fanuc and Stabli robots as well as Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.  The manufacturing processes include both assembly and machining.  Major company benefits, relocation assistance as well as bonus potential are associated with the role.  This company values personal life / work balance and offers a family atmosphere. 

  • BSEE or other relevant BS in Engineering degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management ability that is excellent
  • At least 7 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be self-motivated and a team player
  • Needed is knowledge of PLC software ladder logic, motor drives and vision systems
  • Experience with general manufacturing assembly equipment
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, PLC programming, Access, drive software as well as HMI programming
  • Data collection concepts and date storage and retrieval knowledge
  • Experience with analyzing and interpreting data
  • Must be open to occasional travel
  • Customer service skills that are excellent
