The Network Engineer II owns intermediate-level network operational support tasks on existing systems with moderate level of direction and supervision. Provides support of the implementation of new systems and technologies with a medium level of complexity at Headquarters, Prineville Operations and Tire Center locations.  

·         Performs network related duties, including installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and everyday activities related to switches, routers, firewalls, etc.

·         Assists in the implementation of new technologies and associated projects

·         Assists other departments in troubleshooting problems, including client workstations, phones, server equipment and applications, etc.

·         Documents network configuration and installation information through the use of drawings and system configurations.  

·         Reports issues/concerns that affect the operational stability of any production system or environment to management. Participates in emergency meetings and actions to resolve major outages of server, networking, or telecom.  Completes other duties as assigned.  

Minimum Requirements   

·         Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification required

·         3+ years experience in designing, maintaining and supporting Network systems in an enterprise or service provider environment

·         Firewall management experience (Cisco preferred)

·         Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years experience in designing, maintaining and supporting Network systems in an enterprise or service provider environment

·         Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills of network functions, including switching, routing and security; strong understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and services such as DNS and DHCP

·         Ability to work effectively under moderate supervision; ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers; strong communications and customer service skills; must be able to communicate effectively with customers and staff in a clear and concise manner both in writing and orally, in technical and non-technical terms; ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes in technology

·         Frequent typing, sitting, standing and walking, occasional lifting up to 20 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar

·         CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional

·         SD WAN - Software Defined Network experience

·         Meraki networking experience
