The company is a leading, privately held national food service company serving business and industry, education, healthcare and the entertainment sectors.  The client is a global leader in higher education with 2,000 undergrad and graduate students.  The program consists of a retail dining common, Grill, Pizza, Grab-N-Go, faculty dining, banquet and conference rooms.

In coordination with the Resident Director and Executive Chef, the Catering Director provides the planning, supervision, leadership and direction in the execution and service of catered events on and off campus. 
Initiates the development of a cutting edge, clientele focused catering service.
Schedule team members to ensure appropriate coverage and service for events and team member job performance.
Manage the financials of all catering activities through effective food, labor, ordering of equipment and supplies and accounts receivables.
Engage with all levels of the client, team members, faculty and executives.
Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.

3+ years’ of operational management experience in the catering industry.
Demonstrated creativity in developing presentations for all types of catering and special events and coordinating catering events.
Experience in directing and coordinating catering staffs of 10 to 50.
Experience ordering food products and supplies, and managing maintenance of equipment.
Hands on approach and availability to work a flexible schedule.
Knowledge of safe food handling practices and liquor laws.
Culinary experience and ServSafe Certification preferred.
