This person will join a successful organization that has a very dynamic VP of Sales - I asked him what he wants in this role and he said, "find me someone who can sell personal care products!" There is a lot of change going on in the personal care industry, this company is well-positioned to take advantage of the opportunities that are out there and the person in this role will have the chance to shine and move up quickly within the organization. Overall, this company employs about 10,000 people worldwide, and they have a strong presence in every major market.

This position also has a lot of flexibility - the territory is "Eastern US" and this person can be based in any city (Philly, NYC, Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, etc). This person will work from a home office and travel to meet existing clients. Their clients will be some of the largest personal care products companies in the World (L'Oreal, Revlon, Colgate, etc).

 

The Requirements:


  • B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other related science/technical background
  • Huge preference for prior experience working in a sales or tech service capacity within the personal care products industry. They might consider someone with a strong background in foods and/or pharmaceuticals as well. Must have the customer-facing/sales experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-college, industry experience - with a demonstrated track-record of effective approach and results
  • Must have superior written and oral communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel 30-50%

 

Things to know:


  • The bonus target on this role is 20% (can go up to 2x based on personal and company performance)
  • Company 401K match is dollar-for-dollar up to 6% and they kick in another 3% on top of that
  • No company car, but all travel expenses are reimbursed (most travel is via air)
